Happy Birthday to Amy!

The 5K was at an indoor go-karting place and in our goodie bags was a 2-for-1 coupon, so we decided to celebrate Amy's birthday with some fun with just us adults. We left the kids with some babysitters and it was party time. Cute Birthday Girl!
Waiting until race time!

Dad being fun and silly - those are the caps for under the helmets.

The jumpsuits were a tad warm, but really got you into the right mindset for racing. I think it made me go faster. =)

Boys humoring us by putting on jumpsuits, too. =)

Fun at the Park

Our last afternoon in WA was spent at the park. The kids had a great time swinging and playing.

Lincoln was excited to see his daddy again.

8K

The 2nd Saturday I was there was an 8k in Olympia. My mom and I ran it together and she did awesome!!!! I hit my goal again: under 50 mins (45:56 to be specific)!!
She's so cute. Look how excited and happy she is when she crossed the finish line!

You're awesome, MOM!!! I've always hoped to be just like you! 8k under 50 mins. -- enough said.

At the start. What a fun thing to do with my mom!! Thanks, Dad, for coming and supporting us!!! You're the best!

Off to the Races!

I wanted to take advantage of some racing events while in WA. The first Saturday there was a 5k for the Tumwater Pioneer Days. Warming up.
Ready, Set, Go...
My goal was to finish under 3o minutes.

27:43 baby!

It was tough, but SO worth it. =)

Awards! Amy and I got 3rd in our age divisions and Lauren got first in hers and 2nd female overall. Yahoo for small races!!!

Water Works in WA -- the good kind. =)

We had awesome weather for our WA trip. After dinner on the porch one night, the kids got their suits on and ran through the sprinklers.

Gabbie couldn't take the time for her suit.

Lincoln splashing and loving the water.

Summer Catch-Up

Me and the kids had a fantastic trip to WA to visit family while Bob was in Denver for school. Here we are enjoying the beach at the bottom of my parents' property.

Love this boy!
