Rock Star in the Making!

We were in Utah for Thanksgiving at Bob's sister's house and Davis really loved playing Rock Band. Even though he might not be able to get the notes quite yet, he certainly has the moves down.
Getting the crowd going.

Dance Party!

For those who know me well, you know I love music and to dance to it. So, it shouldn't come as too much of a surprise to find out that every now and then we have a dance party at the house. I love that my kids love to move, too.

Gabbie wanted to wear this dress while she danced. =)

Our Fireman and Little Red Riding Hood

So, I only got a few pictures from Halloween. I need to get some from my friend -- she took more. Gabbie was Little Red Riding Hood. Thankfully, my friend agreed to help me make her cape because it turned out so cute. Yes, I made a costume this year! It was a lot of fun and I couldn't have done it without my friend!! Thank you!!! We even had enough gingham for a little apron.
We found this awesome fireman costume at Costco. Gotta love that place. He was very excited and called our car his fire truck when we went to go Trick-or-Treating downtown.

Bishop's Pumpkin Farm

While my parents were here in the beginning of October we were able to get out to the Bishop's Pumpkin Farm. This is one of our favorite places. They kids had a blast and went home crying because they wanted to stay there FOREVER! Seriously. I apologize ahead of time for all the pictures, but I just had to share. =)

As you can see we were at the goats for the majority of the time. We didn't even make it to the pumpkin patch! We were there after 8 little piglets were born. They were so cute.

I have a confession...

So, many of you know now, but I thought I would make it official. Number 3 is coming!! Ready or not! We are expecting our 2nd boy in the beginning of February. Davis is pretty excited! We all are, too. Soon, we'll have to go to zone defense. No more man-to-man.

Discovery Kingdom

We went to Discovery Kingdom in September. I know it was a couple months ago, but it was worth mentioning because we had such a great time. The day started out a little misty, so there was hardly anyone there. Our jackets kept us warm until the sun came out and then it was perfect. We got to see all the animals 3 or 4 times, we got to all the shows, and the kids rode a bunch of rides. They did great walking around on their own. We didn't have a stroller, but Gabbie was a trooper. Waiting for the tiger show -- Davis' favorite.

It was cool to see the tiger swimming.

Davis posing with one of his many funny faces, which has become our dinner table entertainment.

Davis LOVES animals. Here he is looking at the African Lions.
D: "Mom, are these lions from Africa?"
M: "Yes! You're right."
D: "Oh, I LOVE African Lions. They are my favorite."

Gabbie got into the clapping. She would join in whenever she could.

Triathlon and Swimming in September?!?!?!

I joined a bunch of girlfriends for the super-sprint triathlon the last weekend in August. It was a ton of fun doing it with everyone: training and cheering each other on!!This will probably be the last time we bring the kids, though. It's much too early for them and to see their mommy keep running by without stopping is just way too tramatic, I guess. This is what welcomed me after the finish. I had to get a picture. It was just too funny.
Who would have thought we would've been able to swim in September?!?! It's great, too, because the other kids are in school so we pretty much have both pools to ourselves. These pictures are from earlier in the month, but we were just there this last Friday. It was perfect. We stayed for like 4 hours and couldn't get enough. Davis wanted to stay, but I thought we had had enough sun for the day. I'm anxious for cooler weather, but it was nice to be able to enjoy the pool just a little bit more.

Swim Lessons!

Davis had swim lessons at the McBean Pool last month and really loved it. Swimming is his thing. We've tried other activities before, but he has loved swimming the best!! He was shy at first, but once he got used to the different pool and met his teachers... (and I threw him in), he was fine. =) He's a natural, too. It really made my day when I saw him enjoying himself and doing a good job.

He had no fear with the diving board!

GOOD JOB, DAVIS!!!

Go RiverCats!

We decided to take advantage of our local sports scene and went to one of the final home games of the Sacramento RiverCats. We just got the outfield lawn tickets and still really enjoyed it since the ball park isn't too big.
Gabbie enjoying the game.

We tried to reassure him it wasn't too loud, but he didn't trust us, I guess.

Having fun on the hill.

Davis heard I was taking family photos for my sister and her family, so he wanted a little photo shoot of himself. I couldn't convince him to come outside, so the front doorway had to suffice.
Here's Gabbie wanting to do whatever her older brother is doing. I love her new haircut. It suits her very well.

Here are just a few highlights. I've decided I need some better editing software if I want to make these look really good. I'm glad they were willing to work with an amatuer.
